    Clubs & Activities

At École J.A. Fife School we provide a number of extra curricular activities to enhance the learning experience of our students.

As a way to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle, team activities are organized by teachers and take place during noon hours and recesses throughout the school year. All students are encouraged to participate and an emphasis is placed on cooperatation and sporstmanship. All that is required from students is a positive attitude and a strong team spirit.

Student Council and Student Leadership Council

Under the guidance of volunteer teachers, students are given the opportunity to assume leadership roles through organizing and running special school wide events.  Students in these group also contribute to our society by organizing numerous fundraising ventures.  These students become great ambassadors for École J.A. Fife School.

    AMA Safety Patrols

Since 1937, generations of School Safety patrollers have kept Albertans safe – there’s even a chance that you used to be one yourself. Funded and coordinated by the Alberta Motor Association, our School Safety Patrol program has since grown to include 500 schools.

At École J.A. Fife School, the patrollers are trained Grade 6 students who ensure our younger students and parents cross the street safely.

    Running Club

The goal of the École J.A. Fife School running club is to provide opportunities for Grade 4-6 students to develop active, healthy lifestyles and practice proper running techniques. Students may have the opportunity to participate in out of school events such as the Running Room Indoor Games.

    Choir and Handbells

The participants of Choir and Handbells meet and practice at designated noon hours to practice and enjoy singing and playing while learning proper musical techniques. Choir and Handbell participants have the opportunity to sing at school concerts/assemblies, community senior centres, and other out of school locations.

Welcome to J.A Fife

École J.A. Fife School is full in planned classes in Grades 4, 5 and 6 in the Regular Program. We will now only accept resident students who are newly moved into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

Principal's Message

Welcome to J.A. Fife School!  Bienvenue à l’École J.A. Fife!

We are a learning community that values relationships and teamwork, and our students learn that kindness and respect are the foundations to ensuring everyone feels welcome at our school.  We not only welcome diversity, we celebrate it!

Our dedicated staff work to provide a high quality teaching and learning environment that is responsive to the individual needs of our diverse learners.  We work to provide the supports our students need to be successful.  We believe every child has the ability to achieve great things!

Regular communication is an important part of a student’s learning journey and we encourage parents to regularly check SchoolZone to help keep you informed about what is happening in the school and your child’s classroom.

I wish you all the best as we work together as partners in education this year.
